Alex Salazar

Second Tenor Horn

Originally from Pearland, Texas, Alex joined the band in 2024. He attends the University of North Texas, pursuing a bachelor's degree in music education. He has played in several ensembles including the UNT Wind Ensemble, Brass Band, Horn Choir, and the Green Brigade. He is a member in the horn studio of Dr. Stacie Mickens and Dr. Katherine McBain.

Beyond academics, Alex has been a performing member of the Phantom Regiment Drum and Bugle Corps since 2022. If not practicing, teaching, or occaisionally writing music, he can be found enjoying time outdoors, with friends, or cozied up watching an epic movie or reading a nice book.
