Ben Foster

From Flower Mound, TX, Benjamin Foster has actively performed in the Dallas Brass Band Cornet section since 2021. In 2021, he graduated from the University of Oklahoma with a Bachelor of Music degree in Trumpet Performance and additional coursework in the Arts Management and Entrepreneurship Minor. During his time in university, Benjamin studied in the Trumpet studio under his professor, Dr. Karl Sievers. 

Currently, Benjamin shares his expertise as a Private Lesson Instructor in the DFW metroplex. His work in music education brings results, seen by the success of his students. Many have flourished, earning positions in the Fort Worth Youth Orchestra, students advancing to Area level auditions in the TMEA audition process, and State qualifiers in the UIL Solo Competition. The commitment to passing on the torch of musical knowledge exemplifies his dedication to fostering the next generation of musicians.

In 2023, Benjamin clinched 3rd place in the Cornet Slow Melody Category at the North American Brass Band Championships Solo Competition. As well as performing with Dallas in the First Section (2022) and Championship Section (2023) at NABBC. Away from the music, he transforms into an avid backyard barbecue pitmaster during his free time.
